Marcus Shields, Director

Marcus has created original projects and opera productions for the Beth Morrison Projects, Catapult Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, Curtis, Juilliard, and the Merola Opera Program with stagings of Le Nozze di Figaro, Tosca, La Voix Humaine, and La Calisto. He has been a staff stage director at the Metropolitan Opera since 2019. His 2026-27 season includes a new production of Curlew River for 3000Hz in Chicago as well as projects in New York City and Bern.
